Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’m a Calgary-based wedding and boudoir photographer with a background in photojournalism. I was the kid in the friend group who always had a camera on hand, begging everyone I knew to model for me, and the rest is history. My approach combines candid moments with intentional posing, as I believe they’re a beautiful pair. My hope is that when you look at your photos, you remember how you felt, who was there, and the moments in between.

I spent nearly a decade shooting boudoir almost exclusively, and through everyone I met, I was reminded of how much I care about storytelling. One thing I believe wholeheartedly is that you should never overlook the importance of documenting yourself and your life while you’re living it. Being raised by a mother committed to taking as many pictures as she possibly could, detailing every version of me, is something that always makes me feel whole.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m uncomfortable in front of a camera, which is why I care so much about making sure you never feel that way in front of mine. Whether you're commemorating a big life event or taking the time to appreciate who you are right now, I'd be honoured to capture it.
