Hi, I’m Vanessa! I’m a Calgary-based wedding and boudoir photographer with a background in photojournalism. My style blends unscripted moments with intentional posing; in-between moments and purposeful portraits are equally important to me. My hope is that when you look back on your photos, you remember how you felt.

I spent nearly a decade shooting boudoir almost exclusively, and during that time I realized how much I connect with the storytelling aspect of photography. Weddings started as something that I did for friends and family, and over the last few years they’ve become a bigger part of my career. I’m grateful to be able to step into someone’s day and document it in a way that feels authentic.

I’m the first to admit that I am very awkward in front of a camera, which is why I care so much about helping people feel comfortable in front of mine. You’ll never have to guess what to do, I’m with you the whole time.
